Unlike most cities, Darwin only has two seasons; the dry season and the wet season. It is always humid here, most especially during October to December when the dry season transitions into the wet season. There is plenty of rainfall between January to April (that's the wet season) while the skies are usually clear from May to September (you guessed it; dry season).
No matter what season you decide to visit, it is always best to make early reservations on your campervans and accommodations. Get started on your adventure with Campervan Hire Darwin and find the best place to stay in Caravan Parks In Darwin.

The summer holidays start in mid-December to late January. There are also two week breaks between terms, usually in late April, late June and late September.
In the Northern Territory, the Queen's birthday is celebrated on the second Monday of June while Labor Day is celebrated on the first Monday of May. Easter Saturday is also observed, as well as Picnic Day on the first Monday of August.
The Darwin Show Day is celebrated on the last Friday of July. Read about special holidays in Public Holidays in Australia.
The dry season, or your standard Autumn to Spring (around mid May to late September), has great weather for camping. Just make sure you have a sweater for the cool evenings and sunscreen for your outdoor activities. Get tips from our Australian Camping Checklist.
If you do find yourself in Darwin in the middle of the wet season, just remember to pack a rain jacket, sunscreen and a positive, adventurous attitude. You might get at least one great sunny day without rain. Get Darwin Weather Updates before traveling.
