Who knew Stanley Park had an aquarium with 7,000 different marine species? Vancouver Aquarium, located within the park's premises, is a public entertainment for everyone; a place for marine research, conservation and marine animal rehabilitation. It first opened in 1956, with humble beginnings of a mere seven staff members. But as the years passed, it grew popular with its Animal Encounters and behind the scenes program with an Aquarium trainer.
