SS Klondike National Historic site is a reminder of the steamship days in Whitehorse. The SS Klondlike was the last sternwheeler that worked on the Yukon River, up until August 1955. In the 1960's, she was donated to the Canadian government and restored before being given a special place along the river. By 1967, she was designated a National Historic Site and still draws in many visitors who wish to see the hardy steamship who is now an integral part of Canadian history.
