The newly named Kelly Tarlton's Sea Life Aquarium is a public aquarium that was built in unused sewage tanks under the Auckland waterfront. Originally known as Kelly Tarlton's Underwater World, it first opened in 1985 and is now a fascinating attraction with highlights such as the Antarctic Encounter, the Amazon Tank, the Antarctic Snowcat, the Stingray Bay and the Underwater World.
