Day 7 Dunedin to Invercargill

Estimated Travel Period: about 2 hours 45 mins
Estimated Travel Distance:205 kms

Spend a day trip to the nearby oldest European settlement in New Zealand. From Invercargill follow Highway 1 to the town of Bluff for approximately 20 minutes. Enjoy a good sea food and the renowned Bluff Oysters. Make sure to have your photo taken at the start of Highway 1 signpost at  Stirling Point before heading back to the city. Once you get back in Invercargill,  meet the hundred year old (although he could be older) Tuatara named Henry at the Southland Museum and Art Gallery located near the Feldwick Gates of Queen's Park. Don't miss the  Invercargill Water Tower, a major landmark built back in the late 1800s.

Day 8 Invercargill to Te Anau

Estimated Travel Period: about 2 hours
Estimated Travel Distance:157 kms

See the best of Lake Te Anau by joining a Day Cruise to the scenic south fiord of the lake. Then head over to Te Anau Glow Worm Cave and take a tour that will allow you to witness hundreds (or maybe thousands) of glowworms shimmer in darkness as your boat glides gently on the water.

Day 9 Te Anau

Estimated Travel Period: 16 minutes
Estimated Travel Distance:20 kms

Te Anau is the base point to Milford Sound, so don't forget to take a day cruise that will allow you to witness one of Australia's most beautiful scenery. If a day tour is too short for you, some tour companies offers overnight cruise along Milford Sound. Looking for some inland activity? Fiordland National Park offers various walking tracks for both beginners and advance trampers. Other activities includes quad bikes, fishing, coach tour, hunting and horse trekking.

Day 10 Queenstown

Estimated Travel Period: about 2 hours 10 mins
Estimated Travel Distance:171 kms

A trip to Queenstown is not complete without taking the Skyline Gondola that will take you at a Bob's Peak for a great view of The Remarkables and Lake Wakatipu. You can spend a relaxing day just strolling in the town and visit local shops and cafes or you can try bungee jumping off the Kawarau Bridge, where it all began with AJ Hackett Bungy.
