The well maintained mountain campground is set at 7000 feet amongst tall pine trees at the base of the San Francisco Peaks. Since it is a "Green" Campground, it advocates an on-site recycling, water reclaiming for landscaping, wind turbines and strive to be a new "Environmental Impact Educational Park".
