Summer

You've probably heard of Arizona's unofficial slogan, "It's a dry heat." They're not kidding. June is usually survivable, but the temperature rises in July and soars even higher in August. If you do decide to brave the summer heat, make sure you have a sunhat, lots of sunblock and enough water to fill an oasis.

Autumn

The weather gets more comfortable in September and October, but could dip to the low 70s in November. Expect warm days and cool evenings, so it's best to have some winter clothes to go with your swimsuits.

Winter

'Tis the season to be jolly. December has pleasant days, cool nights as well as throves of seasonal visitors. January and February are the coolest months in Phoenix, and also the time for several events like the Fiesta Bowl and Rock 'n' Roll Arizona Marathon. If you're planning to come over during Winter, prebooking flights and accommodations would be a good idea.

Spring

Finally, the weather is perfect for outdoor activities in Spring, although it is still a busy season so pre-bookings are still recommended. March is still cool with some rainfall, but April and May have sunny days and pleasant evenings. Pack sunglasses, shorts and sunblock for the days, and warm clothes for the cool nights.
