Pleasant Valley is located less than 1/2 mile from Big Cimarron Road which is the eastern access point for Owl Creek Pass and some of the most stunning examples of mountain fall colors in Colorado. The Park is centrally located for fall color and vacation day trips to Black Canyon of The Gunnison National Park, The Colorado Monument, Pine Creek, Blue Mesa Reservoir, Arrowhead Ranch, Taylor Reservoir, Gunnison, Crested Butte, Ouray, Ridgeway, and the Highway 92 scenic loop. Pleasant Valley is also near to some of the best deer and elk hunting country in Colorado.
