Monarch Spur RV Park and Campground is located literally in the Heart of the Rockies, at 8,620 feet above sea level. Nestled in a small valley, the park is only 200 feet from a trout stream, and surrounded by thousands of acres of the San Isabel National Forest. Most offsite activities offered like hiking and water rafting are within an hour's drive of the park. However there are other interesting events in the area that include hangings, gun fights, and the Indian War (Salida).
