“The vehicle was old, not clean and smell very very bad... and most of all, the cooler didn’t work (we were in Florida in August with 2 little children...). El monte was not serious about renting this RV and didn’t make a serious thing to help us when we told us. I will never rent a vehicule with El monte again.”

“Size and equipment were perfect for our trip A few things were not working well or at all though: a ceiling fan, the 12V aux power outlets on the dashboard (by chance we could supply the GPS with the USB port of the radio), and the black tank sensor.”

“all the kitchen cabinet doors do not remain closed. we had to leave some lockers free because the material fell from them. in the lockers we used we had to put a broom as a latch, they broke plates, on my son's foot, and we had to buy others”

“ Elmonte is terrible! The RV had a number of issues, furnace not working, We had to return RV before opening of Denver office,called the hotline on 2 occasions instructed to leave RV safely at a RV park or hotel which we did and now we are getting charge for a abandoning the RV when told to do that. We have not been contacted after a week, so called them and told we would call you back, still waiting. Continuously having to chase them up. Very terrible customer service! Still chasing our money ”

“The vehicle was 2019 model and very good. Did have a technical issue with one of the wheels, however El Monte arranged service at the location where we were and also credited 2 days hire back to us.”

“There were some minor quality issues. The batteries for the interior stopped working half way and needed replacement. One of the tires was worn out and should have been replaced earlier.”

“Vehicle had fridge and electrical issues which required repairs.El Monte call centre are excellent in arranging repairs.Overall these vehicles have a hard life and do not stand up particularly well in the hire market.We are experienced Motorhomers and can work through most problems, it would be hard for newbies.”

“I was sadisfine what the rent but only I must go long way from San Antonio to Dallas because the warm water no working use Manny gasoline for this the time was me egaal and the microwave was no mounted so I buy a screwwdrayer and screws and I mounted it the rest was ok I planning to do a trip in junk or Julie to do with my kids only in the aria Florida thanks anyway hope yo arange something with that many miles I have driving for warm water greeting Henk ”

“We didn't know until we first went to lock the luggage compartment underneath that the lock did not work it just spun around loose so we couldn't actually lock it. Also it has had a few repairs done before on the vehicle. The plate that held the poles where the table sits on broke but was fixed immediatlyThe vehicle is developing brake shudder and the transmission is terrible. Everything in the vehicle seems to be coming loose and falling apart just with driving it.”

“In general terms, El monte has a very good service, they took a little long in getting me the RV ready when I checked in. ”

“Was a great rv to hire for 3 friends driving up the coast from LA to Big Summit Praire to see tbe Eclipse. What a fantstic trip. What an amazing country and outdoor areas you habe here in Amaerica.”

“The vehicle was a bit old (66,000 miles). There was no USB charging possibility, that would have been very useful. The AC was too weak for the high summer temperatures. A curtain between drivers cabin and main cabin would have been helpful against the heat. The floor and seats were not clean after pick-up.”

“Great vehicle, but cleaning could have been more thorough on pick up. Floor in particular was very dirty.”

“The steering alignement was way off, the steering wheel position was at 30° when driving straight. The steering wheel had to be hold very firmly for going straight, which was very annoying.”

“1. Provided sewer hose connection is not allowed by many RV resort including yellowstone (fishing bridge park). 2. Exhaust fan in kitchen was malfunction. 3. Hatch cover on bed is providing excessive tranperency. It must be changed the color which can protect any lights. 4. Shower enclosure (sliding door) is not opened/closed smoothly. 5. Gauges are not indicating correct level of black/grey water. ”

“The vehicle we were given was one of the latest (just a year old). The Ford cab chassis unit was good but not the coachwork. Jolting from the road disconnected the stove top from the stove (removing gas burners) and lifted the stove pot stand framework (which was not secure). The shower screen fell off its rails and required tools to fix (as did the stove top), seat Velcro was damaged, a wooden panel screening wires fell off and the non-return valve on the town water failed. ”

“The RV is a quite noisy vehicle when driving but you get used to it. It was clean and well quality. It was a very good treatment to get personel kits and kitchen kits from El Monte, no need to bring towels, bed sheets, pillow; no kitchen equipment. The only disappointing time we had when we found out that the alarm system for carbon monoxide - reported to be tested regularly - had a disconnected wire and was useless. We bought an additional defector, put the bill to the company.”

“The bed, kitchen, bathroom and shower were fine, Did not like the table and seating, very uncomfortable. I know you cannot guarantee specific models but I had paid for upgrade to better/newer model and we got the almost 18 months old (condition was fine) but in my opinion the least useful table and chair arrangement, with no sofa. We had a couple of leaks, a water one which was sorted fairly quickly and a gas one which my husband sorted.”

“Was annoying the dish and plates were not microwave safe. No dishes to use in the micrwave so we had to buy something. There is no were to put utensils. We had them rattling around in a cup. Also no oven tray.”
