Any restaurant with views of the Bass Strait is worth a visit, especially when the food is this good. Open for lunch and dinner from Wednesday to Saturday, you cannot leave without trying the fennel, basil and goat cheese dumplings. The nearby Penguin Caravan Park is a great place to set up camp.

Set in an old flour mill on the Tamar River, Stillwater offers the best of local produce, seafood and wine and travellers often flock here to sample exquisite dishes like the wrap of slow cooked Flinders Island salt grass lamb and the Robbins Island Wagyu scotch steak. A degustation menu is also available. You’ll find the Treasure Island and Launceston Caravan Parks nearby.
