camping essentials: Clip-on kitchen table, camping stools, rear awning,
slide-out storage drawers and slide-out fridge included.

Child Seats

This vehicle has positioning for a total of two child restraints.
Two child seats (three years and under) can be fitted to the rear forward facing seat with an anchor point OR two booster seats (minimum four years of age) can be fitted to the rear seat with a lap-sash belt.

Baby/Booster seats must be pre-booked, otherwise cannot be guaranteed. Please advise age and weight of child on booking.

Water Tank

A 31 litre water tank located in the rear of the vehicle can be pressure filled with the hose supplied with the vehicle. The vehicle only has one water tap, located on the side step at the driver’s door. Simply snap on the hose, open the valve and pressure fill the tank. Once the tank is full, close the valve and remove the hose. Very quick and easy!

Outback Safety Kit:

The Outback Safety Kit includes an Emergency Position Indication Radio Beacon (EPIRB), snatch strap with D shackles and a folding spade. An EPIRB when activated transmits an emergency distress signal which can be detected by Australian rescue authorities. A snatch strap is used to pull a vehicle from a bogged position with the aid of another vehicle. The D shackles secure the snatch strap to a rigid anchor point.

The Queensland Government has issued new restrictions relating to 4WD hire vehicles travelling to Fraser Island. This includes prohibiting luggage storage on the roof of the 4WD vehicle. If travelling to Fraser Island in the Safari 4WD all luggage must be safely secured inside the vehicle.

“Tent was of bad quality and broke down one night because of some wind. Rear tires where worn down and should have been replaced prior to rental period. Car would request for service on dashboard when starting. Apart from these items we had a great holiday.”
