The creek is well suited to those who wish to learn how to snorkel with its safe waters and abundant aquatic life and the headland is perfect for viewing migrating whales. There is range of en suite cabins, a special access cabin, as well as special access toilets and showers. The large camping sites (some with concrete slabs) and are ideal for those who want to bring their boat.

The boat ramp provides access to the deep waters of the continental shelf just five nautical miles offshore. The undercover electric barbecue area has picnic tables and there are tennis courts and local shops nearby or walk to the bowling club.
