Wings Wildlife Park is an animal sanctuary offering accommodation, 23 km from Ulverstone. On offer are rustic timber cabins, backpacker units, caravan park and camping facilities. The six self-contained cabins with ensuites sleep up to five people and include linen, towels, facewashers, cooking utensils, microwave, full size stove, electric blankets and tea/coffee facilities. The backpacker units include a heater, kettle, refrigerator and small stove. Powered sites are in the main park area, with unpowered sites on a large grassed area along the banks of the Leven River. There is an amenities block with laundry and disability access.
Overnight guests pay a once only entry fee to the wildlife centre which will cover the duration of the stay, cabin guests receiving discounted entry. Walk through the grounds to see Australian native animals - Tasmanian devils, koala, wombats, kangaroos, camels, reptiles, trout, as well as our exotic display of monkeys, meerkats and American bison. The majority of native animals at Wings Wildlife Park have been rescued following injury and are released into their natural habitat when rehabilitated. Those unable to be released remain in our care for the remainder of their lives.
