Huon Valley Caravan Park ia a unique caravan park, only 1.5 kilometres from the centre of Huonville. Huon Valley Caravan Park is a beautiful 26 acre park situated on the junction of the Mountain River and Huon River in a unique farm setting. Guests can experience feeding the pigs, collecting eggs, watching a cow being hand milked and feeding George the sheep and Jane the goat. The Mountain River offers good trout fishing or you may wish to kayak the Huon River into Huonville.

The farm keeps alive the disappearing skills and arts of farming and food preserving that our grandparents knew. On certain days you will be able to see cheese making, preserving of garden produce, smoking of ham and bacon or watch Badge the working dog round up the sheep. If you are lucky enough you may even see the sheep being shorn. While you wander along the river edge you may even catch sight of Percy, the resident platypus.

Huon Valley Caravan Park is an easy 30 minute drive south of Hobart and 1.5 kilometres from the town of Huonville. The caravan park is an ideal base for day trips into Hobart, Salamanca Market and southern Tasmanian attractions such as Tahune Airwalk, Ida Bay Railway, Hastings Caves and Thermal Pool, Huon Valley Apple and Heritage Museum, Huon Jet Boat and the Geevestong Forestry Museum.
